Becca presents both locally and nationally on leadership education, social media, personal branding, storytelling, student development, and advising student organizations. She uses Social Media as a tool to create communities and shared experiences for herself, colleagues, and students. As the initiator and promoter of #RunForBoston, Becca was featured on CNN, the Today Show, and Huffington Post Live.
She is active in professional organizations and currently co-chairs the OCPA/OASPA Annual Conference Publications and Public Relations Committee. She has served on the ACPA Commission for Student Involvement Directorate Governing Board and the ACPA Social Media Taskforce. Becca is the past Social Media Chair for the NACA South Region, has written for the NASPA Leadership Exchange and NCLP’s Concepts and Connections, and presented a webinar for NASPA’s Investing in our Future series.
Prior to joining Ohio Dominican University in 2012, Becca served the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Johnson and Wales University – Providence, Baldwin-Wallace College, and Kent State University. Becca earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, Journalism, and Applied Writing at Ashland University, and her Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University.
